A univoltine species, flying from early June to the end of July (Amiet et al., 2004). In Cyprus, Mavromoustakis (1948) reports adult activity in March.
Fateryga (2017) reports a male seen flying in the Krasnodar region of the North Caucasus (Russia) in June.
Parasites: The bee Stelis ornatula is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Westrich, 1989). Banaszak & Romasenko (1998) additionally cite the fly Miltogramma murinum (Sarcophagidae) as a parasite.
