Univoltine, with an extended flight period. Females active from late March or April to late September, males from late July to the end of September.
Label data from a few Spanish specimens shows that females are active from (at least) April to June, and males are active in July (Ortiz-Sanchez & Pauly, 2017).
Parasites R.C.L. Perkins (1923) believed Sphecodes ephippius and S. puncticeps to be cleptoparasites of this species; Morice (1901) also lists the former.
