A univoltine species, flying in the summer, from June to August (Stanisavljević, 2000), with a peak in the second half of July. There is an early record from May in Croatia (Jozan 2009). The occasional late record from September is reported from Switzerland.
Parasites: The wasp Hoplocryptus bellosus (Ichneumonidae) has been reported to parasitize Stelis minuta (Schwarz 2007)
