Dufourea (Dentirophites) lusitanica Ebmer, 1999

Almost certainly a univoltine species. Spanish specimens of both sexes were found flying in April.

The Holotype is a female. The species is very rarely seen. The males are apparently undescribed and the species is only previously known from the holotype. Present in large numbers in areas with firm sand within the Coto DoƱana National Park and in the surrounding Natural Park.

There is considerable variation in colour. The females may be entirely dark brown, or with well marked reddish areas on the abdomen (pers. obs.)
