Warncke 1974 states that this is a bivoltine species and flies from mid-May to mid-June, and from the end of July to mid-August. However, Standfuss et al. (2011) found the species in Thessaly only from April to June, so it is possible that the species is bivoltine only in some parts of its distribution range (E. Scheuchl pers. comm. 2014).
