Generally regarded as a univoltine species flying from June to August (Celary, 1990). Mavromoustakis (1948; 1951) reports flight activity in June and July, and Popov (1944) also has a record from September in Cyprus. Baldock et al (2018) show that the species can be bivoltine in northern Portugal, and Popov's observations in Cyprus suggest that bivoltinism is known there too
