The species is univoltine, flying in the spring from March to June (Mavromoustakis; 1951; 1953); Stanisavljević (2000) reports the species to fly from April to June.
Fateryga (2017) reports both sexes are active in the Krasnodar region of the North Caucasus (Russia) in June.
A species with the female being a deep blue and much resembling Chelostoma.
