A univoltine species, flying from late May to July

Parasites and predators The literature cites the following cleptoparasites: Nomada similis (on Jersey)(Richards, 1979), N. fabriciana (Shuckard, 1866;. Smith, 1876; Gardner, 1901c) and the dipteron Miltogramma punctata (F. Smith, 1876; Gardner, 1901c). An unidentified Sphecodes has also been observed visiting P. banksianus burrows (O'Toole in Munster-Swendsen, 1970).
