Andrena (Taeniandrena) wilkella (KIRBY, 1802)

A univoltine species: mid April to June, rarely July and August. These later records (sometimes involving apparently freshly-emerged specimens) suggest a partial second brood.

In Czechoslovakia the species is also reported as being univoltine, but there records after July possibly represent a second generation which has yet to be confirmed (Kocourek, 1966). The species will fly into late August in Finland, again suggesting a partial second generation (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003)

Parasites The bee Nomada striata is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species.(Söderman & Leinonen, 2003). Tomozei & Radchenko (2015) report that the parasite is Nomada striata (Westrich 1989), and probably Sphecodes ephippius (Bogusch et al. 2006).
