A bivoltine species: The spring generation flies from the end of March or early April to mid May, the summer one from late june or the beginning of July to the end of August or September (depending on weather conditions and regions)(Else & Edwards, 2018).

Parasites and predators: Host of the cleptoparasitic bee species Nomada fulvicornis [as N. lineola] (Kocourek, 1966; Dylewska, 1987; Söderman & Leinonen, 2003). Large numbers of Nomada goodeniana have been seen flying around nesting aggregations in southern England (pers. obs.).
