A univoltine species, flying from June to August (Banaszak & Romasenko, 1989; Stanisavljević, 2000). Mavromoustakis (1952) shows the species to fly from May to September in Cyprus. Ortiz-Sanchez et al. (2012) give a flight period in Iberia from June to September
Parasites: The bee Coelioxys argenteus (Megachilinae) is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Banaszak & Romasenko; 1989).
