A univoltine species, flying from late spring to early summer (May to July).
Parasites: Banaszak & Romasenko (1989) cite the bees Coelioxys afra, Coelioxys obtusa, Coelioxys mandibularis (Megachilinae) as cleptoparsites of this species and Melittobia acasta (Eulophidae) is listed as a parasite.
