A univoltine species: mid August to mid October, occasionally into early November (C. O'Toole, pers. comm.).
Parasites and predators In the Netherlands, this species is host to the cleptoparasite Epeolus tarsalis (= E. rozenburgensis). (Van Lith, 1949). In Eastern England, the nests are attacked by Epeolus variegatus (Guichard, 1974).
