A univoltine species, flying from mid-June to mid-July. The flight period is about 4 weeks earlier than Rophites quinquespinosus (Westrich, 1989, 2018)
Parasites: The bee Biastes emarginatus is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Pesenko, Westrich, 1989, 2018; Banaszak et al., 2000)
