Lasioglossum (Sphecodogastra) nigripes (LEPELETIER, 1841)

Univoltine, with an extended flight period. The overwintering females emerge at the end of April or early May, and the males fly from the beginning of August to the end of October.

Label data from a few Spanish specimens shows that females are active from (at least) April to October, and males in August and September (Ortiz-Sanchez & Pauly, 2017).

Parasites: Knerer & Plateaux-Quénu (1970) cite Sphecodes alternatus as a possible cleptoparasite of this species; Grandi (1931) additionally reports seeing S. pellucidus entering a nest. Marikovskaya (1990) found a female Sphecodes miniatus inside an excavated nest in Kazakhstan.
