Halictus (Halictus) sexcinctus (FABRICIUS, 1775)

Univoltine or partially bivoltine. In the Netherlands, the females are active from May to September, and the males from mid-June to September (Peeters, Raemakers & Smit ,1999). In Slovenia, the females emerge in April and the males in June (Gogala, 1999). Some evidence suggests the species is partially bivoltine in Greece (Richards, 2001).

In Spain, label data shows that females are active in July and August and males in June, July and August (Ortiz-Sanchez & Pauly, 2017).

Parasites Large examples of the common bee Sphecodes gibbus have been found associating with this species (Peeters, Raemakers & Smit ,1999). Amiet et al., (2001) also suggest that S. albilabris may be a cleptoparasite of this species.
