Halictus (Halictus) quadricinctus (FABRICIUS, 1776)

Univoltine, but with an extended flight period. In Spain, females are active from April to September and males from June to August (Ortiz-Sanchez & Pauly, 2017)

In central and northern Europe females fly from April to August (sometimes into September); males from July to late September.

In southern Spain and in Slovenia the females are active in early April. Mavromoustakis (1948; 1952) reports adult activity in, at least, March, April, May, June and August in Cyprus

Parasites and predators Sphecodes gibbus is reported to be a cleptoparasite of this species (Blüthgen, 1919, 1923, 1934; Breitenbach, 1878; F.K. Stoeckhert, 1933; Müller, Krebs & Amiet,
1997).
