A univoltine species: early April to June, occasionally into early July and in the mountains to late July and August. Bossert (2014) recorded females active from April to early July at Zemmgrund (Austrian Tyrol)
Parasites and predators: Host of the cleptoparasitic bee species Nomada panzeri var. fusca (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003). Regarded as the host of Nomada fusca and small forms of N. panzeri (Kemp et al, 2014; Bossert, 2014)
