A univoltine species, flying from early June to mid-September (Stanisavljević, 2000). Westrich (1989) says the species flies from early July to mid-August in Germany. Baldock et al (2018) report flight activity in Portugal. Baldock et al. (in prep.) report flight activity from May to September in the Balearic Islands (Spain).
Parasites: The bees Stelis ornatula and Stelis punctulatissima are both cited as cleptoparasites of this species (Amiet et al., 2004).
Enslin (1923) regarded the bee Stelis ornatula as a cleptoparasite of this species. Westrich (1989) also cites Stelis punctulatissima (as S. moravica.)
