A univoltine species. The flight season is from mid-May to mid-October. Westrich (1989) states that the species flies from mid-June to mid-August in southern Germany. Stanisavljević (2000) states that the flight period is from June to August
Parasites: The bee Stelis punctulatissima is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Amiet et al., 2004).
