Andrena (Simandrena) dorsata (KIRBY, 1802)

A bivoltine species: The spring brood flying from late March or early April to the end of May, the summer brood from July to September. Freshly emerged individuals of both sexes have been met with in September and the beginning of October; these may represent a third brood.

In Thessaly (Greece), Standfuss et al. (2011) report flight activity in March and April

Parasites: Nomada zonata is cited as the cleptoparasite of Andrena dorsata (Westrich, 1989).
