A univoltine species. The flight period is from mid-May to mid August (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003).
Parasites The bee Nomada opaca is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003).
The species is undergoing rapid range-expansion (northwards and westwards) in Finland (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003)
