A bivoltine species: mid April to mid May, and July to mid August or September
Parasites and predators: Host of the cleptoparasitic bee species Nomada zonata (Westrich, 1989).
The species is apparently absent in the Netherlands (Peeters, Raemakers & Smit, 1999), and from Belgium and Luxemburg (Rasmont et al., 1995)
