A univoltine species: from late March to the end of June or early July. Nearly all specimens collected in March are stylopised. Several females have been collected in August (including a freshly emerged example at the end of the month) and these may represent a partial second brood.
Parasites and predators: In continental Europe, Nomada fabriciana is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species. (Westrich, 1989; Peeters, Raemakers & Smit, 1999)
