Andrena (Hoplandrena) bucephala STEPHENS, 1846

A univoltine species: mid April to late May (rarely females are found in mid June).

The species is apparently absent from Belgium and Luxembourg, (Rasmont et al. 1995), the Netherlands (Peeters, Raemakers & Smit, 1999) and only rarely encountered in Germany (Westrich, 1989).

Parasites and predators: This species is host of the cleptoparasitic bee Nomada hirtipes.
