A univoltine species, flying from June to early August (Pesenko, Banaszak et al., 2000). Westrich (2018) gives a flight period from mid-July to mid-August in Germany.
Predators and Parasites: The bee Biastes emarginatus is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Pesenko, Banaszak et al., 2000; Westrich, 2018).
