Univoltine, but with an extended flight period. No dates for Britain and the Channel Islands.
In southern Europe, females are active from late April to early September; males from early June to the beginning of September.
In more central areas of Europe, the females emerge from the End of March and the males are active from the end of June to early October. (Ebmer,1988)
Parasites and predators: None known from the United Kingdom, although Sphecodes cristatus is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species on the continent (Amiet et al., 2001).
