Univoltine, but with an extended flight period. In Spain, females are active from May to July and males in July and August (Ortiz-Sanchez & Pauly, 2017)
Females are active from May (April in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Slovenia) to September; males from early July to late September or October.
Parasites and predators: None reported from Britain. The bees Sphecodes rufiventris and Sphecodes ephippius are cited as cleptoparasites by Söderman & Leinonen (2003), and Amiet et al. (2001) additionally cite Sphecodes gibbus.
