Andrena (Leucandrena) argentata Smith, 1844

A bivoltine species in mainland Europe. Univoltine in northern Europe. In UK from early July to the end of August. In continental Europe this bee is regularly double-brooded, flying in April and May, and again in July and August (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933; Kocourek, 1966).

Parasites & predators: Host of the cleptoparasitic bee Nomada baccata, and in continental Europe, Nomada alboguttata, Sphecodes ephippius and S. reticulatus (Westrich, 1989)
