A univoltine species: from mid March to early May, exceptionally into June. In Finland the species flies from early April to late July (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003).
Parasites: The bee Nomada obscura is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003; Amiet, 2010).
