A univoltine species; late May to the end of August or early September. This long flight season has caused Dylewska (1987) to suggest that the species may be bivoltine, an assertion not agreed with by Westrich (1989).
Parasites: The bee Nomada pleurosticta is cited as a cleptoparasite of this species (Dylewska, 1987; Westrich, 1989). Stöckhert (1933) additionally lists Nomada mutabilis.
