Nomada fucata PANZER, 1798

A bivoltine species: R.C.L. Perkins (1919g) considered that this species only attacks the second brood of Andrena flavipes, but this is certainly not so. The first brood flies from mid April to the end of May, the second from mid July (rarely late June) to the end of August. Two freshly emerged males were collected on the Dorset coast on 12 October, 1980 (pers. obs.) and these may possibly represent a partial third brood.
