A univoltine species that is typically active in high summer, the species is recorded from June to August. Late flying individuals of both sexes have been found in Cyprus (S. Roberts, pers. obs 2016)
Parasites: It is parasitised by the bee Ammobates vinctus (Tkalcu, 1979).
