A univoltine species, flying from the end of June to mid-August.
Parasites & Predators: A larva of Trichodes apiarius was found in one of the brood cells of this species. Trichodes alvearis is also known to be a parasite of this species. In another cell, an egg of the Sapygid wasp Sapyga similis was found. (Westrich, 2002).
