A univoltine species. The males emerge in mid June and the flight period extends to the end of August and, occasionally, into early September. The species may be active somewhat earlier in the year in more southerly locations (Pesenko, Banaszak et al., 2000). Westrich (2018) gives a flight period in Germany from the beginning of July to mid-August.
