A univoltine species, flying from late April to the end of June and even into mid July, but showing marked protandry.
In Malta, Balzan et al (2016) report specimens in February and (by inference) early March
Parasites: The bees Coelioxys rufescens, Coelioxys quadridentata, Melecta punctata, Melecta luctuosa and Thyreus orbatus are cited as cleptoparasites of this species (various sources cited in Westrich, 1989).
