Univoltine; from mid July (earlier in the south of its range) to early September, the flight period being very closely synchronised with the flowering of Lysimachia vulgaris. In Poland, the species appears on the wing in Late June, and flies until the end of August, and occasionally into early September (Celary, 2004)
Parasite: The bee Epeoloides coecutiens is a confirmed cleptoparasite of this species on continental mainland Europe (Celary, 2004; Bogusch, 2005)
