A univoltine species, flying from late spring to early summer (June to July). Stanisavljević (2000) gives a flight season of June to September in Serbia
Parasites: Banaszak & Romasenko (1989) cite the bees Coelioxys elongata (Megachilinae) as a cleptoparsite of this species and Melittobia acasta (Eulophidae) and Gasteruption caudatum (Gasteruptiidae) are listed as parasites.
