Distribution; world
The species is very widely distributed in the Palaearctic (including Europe), from southern Sweden to Greece, Spain to Siberia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Minor (Noskiewicz, 1936). The north African range is given as Morocco and Algeria (Warncke, 1978, 1979).
