Distribution; world
Widely distributed but rare trans-palaearctic species. Its range extends from Ireland as far east as Japan. In southern Europe it is found mainly in mountainous areas. The range of this species extends from the British Isles, Holland (van der Vecht, 1928) and Germany, south across Europe to Spain (Dylewska, 1987) and the Far East (Yasumatsu, 1941):
