Distribution; world
The species is found throughout much of central and southern Europe, from Denmark (Jørgensen, 1921) and the Netherlands (van der Zanden, 1982), south to southern Spain and Hungary. It also occurs in north Africa, Asia Minor, central Asia, Siberia, and the far east of Russia (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933; Warncke, 1981; Banaszak & Romasenko, 1998).:
