The species is also common in continental Europe, especially in the northern and central regions, its range extending from central Fennoscandia to Spain, and east to the Caucasus, Iran, south Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Kamchatka (Popov, 1958). Also reported from Japan (Hirashima, 1965).
