Distribution; world
A disjunct distribution, and is known from the Alpine regions of Switzerland and northern Italy, including the Aosta valley (E. Scheuchl pers. comm. 2014), and the southeastern Balkans. Outside of Europe, it is found in Turkey and Armenia (Gusenleitner and Schwarz 2002, Kuhlmann et al. 2013). Scheuchl (pers. comm. 2014) also lists it from several mountains in Greece and the Peloponnese:

There is no information on the overall population size or trends of this species. However, the species has a severely fragmented population.
