Distribution; world
A European endemic species which is only known from Switzerland, northwards to Germany and eastwards to Austria, and across the Balkans to Greece (Gusenleitner and Schwarz 2002). A record from Albania (Warncke 1973) in fact refers to A. ruficrus (Praz et al., 2019):
