In Europe the species is widely distributed, with records from Holland (van der Vecht, 1928), Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, southern Europe (Kocourek, 1966), the western U.S.S.R. (Caucasus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan)(Popov, 1954; Osychnjuk, 1977). The species is also known from North Africa (Nadig, 1933):
