The Continental distribution of this bee extends across Europe, from Poland (Dylewska, 1987), south to Spain, and eastwards to the U.S.S.R. (Ukraine, Crimea, Caucasus, Bashbirskaya)(Osychnjuk, 1977), and the Middle East (Warncke, 1969). A form also occurs in North Africa (Algeria):
