Distribution; world
The species is found throughout much of Europe generally, from Fennoscandia (Erlandsson, 1955; Elfving, 1968), east to Turkey and the Urals. In Asia it is known from Turkestan, Afghanistan and Mongolia (D B. Baker). Banaszak & Romasenko, (1998) additionally list the Caucasus, Asia Minor, central Asian parts of the former U.S.S.R., Kazakhstan, central Siberia, Yakutsk, Buriatia, the Pamir mountains, China and in north Africa, Algeria:
