Distribution; world
The species occurs throughout the western Palaearctic, from Fennoscandia (Erlandsson, 1955; Elfving, 1968), south across Europe to north Africa (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933) and eastwards across central Asia to Iran and the Russian Far East.:
