This is also a common and widespread bee in the Palaearctic, ranging from central Fennoscandia south across Europe to northern Spain, and east across Asia to Siberia (Warncke, 1988, who also provides a distribution map of the species). Also reported from Japan (Tadauchi in Tadauchi et al., 1989).:
