Distribution; world
The species is very widely distributed and locally common in Europe, occurring from southern Fennoscandia (Aurivillius, 1903; Elfving, 1968), south to Spain and north Africa, and east to Asia Minor (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933; Warncke, 1981), the Levant, central Asian parts of Russia and the Russian Far East (Banaszak & Romasenko, 1998).
